First Day of School 2023-2024

Welcome back To Valley Oaks Elementary!

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 16, 2022.

School hours are 7:20am-2:35pm. 

On August 16th, 17th, and 18th all parents will be able to walk their children to class.  All parents entering the building will need to enter the school through the main office.  Parents will say their goodbyes at the classroom door.  The classrooms will open for students at 7:00 all three of those mornings. Parent entry to VOE will be closed at 7:20 on the 16th, 17th, and 18th.  After 7:20, students will walk independently to class so that instruction can begin.  All parents that come inside the building must also exit through the main office doors and not any back or side doors.  

Beginning Monday, August 21st, students will walk independently to class and our normal arrival procedures will begin.  Kindergarten, First Grade, and Second Grade students will report to the cafeteria each morning.  Third through Fifth Graders will report to the gym each morning.  Teachers will pick up students from both locations at 7:10.  Students arriving after 7:10, will report straight to their teacher’s classroom.
